Crucified with Jesus

For all Christians, Catholics and Protestants both commemoration rates Holy week one of the most important parts of Jesus ' life. It was the last week of Jesus ' life on Earth. During the time Jesus was forsaken, arrested, crucified, and he accepted his death.

Christian people believe that Jesus died for all mankind. He saved us from all the sins of the world and thus all Christians believe that Jesus is our Savior and God. Christians believe that Holy Week time for repentance, and accept Jesus as our Savior. But this is relevant enough to say that God will honor crucifying even each Holy week? What is also in response to the Catholic or Christian churches on this?

I am not saying that it is fun to celebrate Holy Week. I was raised as a Christian and happy to be a still. If you do not want to mention, I believe in Jesus. I just do not understand why crucifying ourselves any good Friday is a good thing. Is it responsible?

Christian countries celebrate Holy Week usually in different ways. Most Christians celebrate Holy week by taking part in a silent procession, the Passion of Christ, the Holy Church participating services. A Christian country like the Philippines are celebrating the Filipinos Holy week in a different way. Filipinos consider Holy Week as redemption, so all government offices, shops, etc. are closed in this period.

Not only that it is an actual Filipino tradition to celebrate every Holy week through the crucifixion. Yes, the crucifixion, you can find this on all odd-numbered? Human crucifixion is for Filipinos, a Holy way of expressing their love, appreciation for Jesus.

I remember when I was still in school (primary-secondary), Holy week; my family would only eat a little, as a sign of respect for Jesus. My parents were not religious, but it is our common tradition every Holy week. We were not allowed to listen to secular music or even speak loudly. In addition, got each good Friday (death of Jesus), we are not allowed to take a bath after 12 noon. I know this may something ridiculous, but it is our tradition.

Go back to human crucifixion, had the Catholic Church prohibited people from participating or according to the old Christian tradition of self-flagellation or of human crucifixion. What is, however, the whole idea of this tradition?

The people who reenact or voluntary for crucifixion would simply express, they are worthy to receive God's forgiveness. Self-flagellation, however, does not mean that you are worthy to receive Christ's forgiveness. God does not compel us to hurt us just prove that we deserve to be called by his followers or called as the son of God. Instead he will honour us with him. So he did to us here in this world to know him and love him and serve him. It is everything he wanted.

We can serve God in various ways. The bottom line here is, however, just do some good deeds, and you will be rewarded by him. We don't have to do anything as crucifying us. It is completely the wrong idea, just start to pray and to understand that God loves us, we will understand that we are not here in this world for our own sake, but for his will.
