The Pure Stuff

There are two lower arm bones. The bot thumb-side is the RADIUS; the bone on the side of the small finger is the ulna. These two names are often used to describe things on the side of the thumb of the hand as ' radial ' and ' ulnar "is used for the little finger side.

There are seven wrist bones ("carpal" bones), in two rows, with three bones on the row nearest to the arm (or ' proximal ' carpals. From the side of the thumb, they are the scaphoid, Lunate articulations and triquetral.

Most mammals have four bones in this row. There is a ' central ' between the first two listed. In humans, there is a kind of Central ' bump ' clearly if we develop in the uterus, but it soon becomes molten, with the scaphoid before we are born.

There is some thought that this accession of these two bones in a helps in a special structural reinforcement of the human wrist which further dependence on the ' saddle ' joint at the base of the thumb. If you are not currently in a public place, or not easy for schut, playing with your thumb for a while. Wiggle it around with your other hand. It's a strange and interesting joint, making movement in a lot of different ways, but still offer a very
fixed full handle.

I've often considered that this was purposely designed by some of the original creator, so that we one day our jars of peanut can open! The second-further away from the arm, or "distal" row of wrist bones were, from the side of the thumb, the trapezium, trapezoid, capitate and hamate. The trapezoid is half that saddle joint of the thumb wrists.

The longer bones which take you through the back of your hand feel can be the metacarpals. There are five of them. Boxers break this more often than other hand bones. Then there are the finger bones itself, phalanges (plural) or phalanx (singular). The thumb has two, the other fingers have three.

The small bones on the very tips of his fingers ' ' distal phalanges (distant) phalanges, thenmiddle, then ' proximal ' (closer to the body) phalanges. The side of the palm of the hand is scientific voetbaltalfel the palm! The back of the hand is the "dorsum" or palmar and dorsal if used as locating words for something else. The muscle padding on the side of the thumb of the palm is the ' thumb ' mouse eminance.

The coating on the side of the little finger (think ' karate chop '!) is the "hypothenar eminence" (literally, "a natural height"). The tissue to the palm of the hand is a kind of special. Note that the skin
on the back of your hand can be scrolled around, if it is not covered is linked to. A quick test will show that this is not true of the palm skin. It is associated with: more evidence of my Holy Peanut Butter Jar theory!
The fat layer under the palm protects the hand itself, such as a combination oven mitt, shock absorber and jar opener. It must be an extremely important feature.

It is reported that when the American soldiers rescued the skeletal survivors of the German prison camps of the second world war, medical examinations showed that this fatty layer of the hand in the prisoners still intact. This seems quite strange, considering that body fat ' used was ' from all other parts of their malnourished bodies, including heart muscles! (I call peanut butter theory evidence again?) This curious palmar factoid is one that some probably very rare opportunity can intervene. My, will not you considered erudite! You would also then say ' hypothenar eminance ', and cause high born young girls to swoon!
